Describe your Transition/Fall 2012 collection and the trends you have focused on.

This season we continue to see a great deal of interest when it comes to hemlines. We are still using longer tunic lengths, but shortened tops have become very important as well.

From where do you draw inspiration?

I take inspiration from real, everyday women. Also being located in New York’s Meatpacking District, we are exposed to trends quite early.

Describe the type of woman that wears your designs.

The Lilla P woman seeks quality, which in turn creates value. She is modern and uses Lilla P as a building block for her wardrobe season after season.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

“Be passionate about your product and true to the line.”

What direction do you see women’s fashion moving in for the upcoming seasons?

I feel that there will continue to be a great deal of color in the seasons ahead. I also think sweaters will be increasingly prevalent.

If you could dress a celebrity, who would it be and why?

I would have to say Gwyneth Paltrow because she is a classic beauty. Much like our line, she is timeless and sophisticated.

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I started Lilla P in 1998 while living in Atlanta, GA. The line started as a one-style tee, in only one size and five colors!
